As the Speedhunters European event tour finally kicked off at Goodwood on 8th June, Kleers were there and in on the action as the Official Supplier of car care to the teams. Although the European tour takes in automotive events and displays a selection of increbible machines, the main attraction and line-up for the tour was two of the most famous professional drift drivers in the world, Fredric Aasbo from Norway and Mad Mike Whiddett, all the way from New Zealand.
The European tour started at the Players Classic event which took place for the first time at Goodwood Circuit in the UK which then moved on to the Modified Live event at Snetterton, UK the following day.
Just a week later found the entire Speedhunters team and drivers in Sweden for the annual Gatebil event at Mantorp Park, deep in the heart of Sweden.
Pictured above is Mad Mike Whiddett, a professional drift driver and team owner who's primary sponsors are Red Bull and Speedhunters. Mike travells the globe in competition and demonstrations and have competed in many championships including D1 Japan, D1 NZ and Formula D in the USA.
The next leg of the tour is yet another Gatebil event, this time in Norway on 13th July 2013.
Both Fredric and Mikes teams got to use products from our motorsport range for the first time to ensure the cars were kept immaculate throughout the events, mainly to keep the rubber marbles and debris which are created by the high speed drift cars at bay.
Seen here, Fredric Aasbo is a major sports celebrity around the world, he campaigns a Toyota backed GT86 in Europe, a Scion [ Toyota USA brand ] TC car in Formula D in the USA as well as a Toyota Supra and GT86 in Japan and South East Asis with the RSR Team.
